Into the ocean

There are sinking boats
tailgating the sun over
the ocean
My hands are
stuck 4 feet under the
ground
I would swim in dark waters
to find the other
side of the shadows
we have become
There is silver in everyone's
pockets
and the bare sky weeps
reading testaments of us...

  1. "Sometimes the sun shines on other people's houses, but not mine..." It's a song from one of my favorite songs. Sometimes my hands hold the silver, sometimes they are elbow deep in suctioning muck. I have testaments such as these. I'm glad the sky, the wind, the stones remember, so that I never will. When the sky weeps, I call her friend.

    Beautiful Manik!
